May is a busy month for the 3rd graders :)
* We are finishing up our Fire Safety Training with Firefighter TJ this week. On Wednesday morning Firefighter TJ will be bringing a fire truck for the 3rd graders to learn more about!
* Thursday afternoon the whole school will watch the Band Concert at 1:15 pm.
* VIP shows are next week! There will also be an early dismissal on Friday 5/15.
* The Third Graders will have 2 field trips this month. The first will be to the Adler Planetarium on May 21 (permission slips sent home). The second field trip will be to watch a play at Downers Grove South on May 22 with 2nd and 1st grade (permission slips will be sent home soon).
** The last book report is Due May 12**
* The next Social Studies Test will be Wednesday May 13 on Chapter 8
---> Due to all the craziness going on with VIP next week, the Social Studies Timelines will be Due May 19
Tests this week:
- Lesson 29 Vocabulary quiz Thursday
- Lesson 29 Reading and Spelling Test Friday
**We are soon coming to the end of our Reading books for the year! The students will have an End of the Year Reading Test the week of May 18. This test will be like the past Theme tests with stories to read and questions to answer about the stories. **
