Spelling - The spelling words for this week will be review words from lessons 26-29. The students will have the Lesson 30 spelling test on Friday.
Reading - This week the students will be reviewing reading strategies, vocabulary, and language arts learned from lessons 26-30. The students will have the End of the Year Reading Test next Wednesday May 18. There will be no Reading Test this Friday.
Math - The students will be finishing Chapter 11 in their math books this week about perimeter and area. They will have the Chapter 11 test about perimeter and area early next week.
Science - The students will have their next science test next Tuesday May 17.
Social Studies - This week in Social Studies we will begin learning about wants, needs, how to earn money, and why it is important to budget your money.
On Wednesday the students will leave for their field trip to the Adler Planetarium at 9am. The students should bring their own sack lunch. The students may also want to bring a light sweater or jacket, as it will be cooler by the lakefront. The 3rd graders were told that they may bring a small game, book, or notebook for the bus. They will need to carry this with them the whole trip. There should be no electronics brought for the field trip.
