We will be jumping right back into things this week.
Reading - We will finish reviewing lessons 21-25 this week from Theme 5. In class the third graders will practice lesson 21-25 vocabulary, review sequence, cause-and-effect, the “be” verb, main and helping verbs, present, past, and future-tense verbs. The Theme 5 Test will be on Friday. The vocabulary quiz will be on Thursday and will be a mix of vocabulary words from lessons 21-25. A note with suggested words to study will be sent home this week.
Spelling - The Lesson 25 spelling test will be on Friday. These words are review words from Lessons 21-24.
Math - In class we will continue to practice comparing fractions with like denominators and like numerators. The students will also practice identifying and naming equivalent fractions. The Ch.9 test on comparing fractions and equivalent fractions will be on Thursday.

Religion - The 3rd graders will finish Chapter 10 about the Pope and other leaders of the Catholic church this week. The Chapter 10 Test will be on Wednesday.
Social Studies - This week in social studies the students will learn about the Spanish explorers that came to America and started a community in Florida. They will also learn about the French explorers that started a community in Canada.
Science - In class they will review Unit C Ch.3 this week. The Ch.3 Test will be on Wednesday. All Solar System Reports should have been handed in before Spring Break. If it was not turned in please complete and bring it in by Friday. The Solar System Visual Aids are due Wednesday April 19.
