**Picture Day is this Thursday**
**Tuesday the whole school will have a practice Lock Down Drill with the police department.**
Spelling - The Lesson 7 spelling words this week will include words with the letter combinations; ch, tch, sh, and wh.
Reading - This week the students will be reading the nonfiction story Aero and Officer Mike in the Storytown book. In class we will continue practicing to distinguish between facts and opinions. There will be more practice with synonyms and antonyms. The 3rd graders will also review nouns and work on writing with common and proper nouns. **Book Report Due Wednesday**
Religion - The 3rd graders will continue learning about the Holy Trinity and creeds in Chapter 4. We will focus on the Apostle's Creed and its importance to the Catholic Church.
Math - The Chapter 2 Math test on graphs and interpreting data is Tuesday. The students will begin Chapter 3 on Wednesday on multiplication. We will begin multiplication with counting equal groups, relating addition to multiplication, and skip counting on a number line.
Social Studies - This week the 3rd graders will be partnered up with second graders to learn more about the Election Process.
Science - The 3rd graders will being Unit A Ch.3 this week on living things and their environments.
