This Friday the 3rd graders will be walking to the Tivoli Theater to see the play, Snow Queen. They will be back in time for lunch and will not be out of uniform.
Spelling - The Lesson 11 spelling words this week will all focus on the consonant - le spelling pattern. All the words will have the -le ending.
Reading - In reading this week the students will read the realistic fiction story Loved Best, practice identifying the plot in a story, work on using context clues to find the meaning of unknown words when reading, begin learning about singular and plural possessive nouns.
Math - The students will be learning about the Distributive and Associative properties of multiplication this week. The 3rd graders will also work on multiplying with 7 later this week.
Religion - We will begin Chapter 6 in the Religion book this week about prayer and the importance of prayer in our daily lives. In class we will review the Sacrament of Reconciliation to prepare us for all school Reconciliation on Thursday morning.
Social Studies - The 3rd graders will continue learning about different celebrations in other cultures around the world. They will learn the difference between family, community, and national celebrations/holidays.
Science - In Science class this week the 3rd graders will review Unit A, Ch.3. The Ch.3 Test will be Wednesday. Food Chains are also due on Wednesday.
