Spelling - The lesson 24 spelling words this week will all focus on words with accented syllables.
Reading - In Reading the students will read the realistic fiction story Ramon Quimby, Age 8. We will continue to practice identifying cause and effect relationships in a text. The students will practice in class distinguishing between facts and opinions, identify homophones, and use past or future tense verbs correctly in sentences. **Book Reports Due Friday**
Math - The 3rd graders will review Chapter 8 this week in class. The ch.8 math test on fractions will be on Wednesday. We will begin chapter 9 in the math book at the end of the week, focusing more on comparing different fractions.
Religion - Some third graders will be chosen this week to have reading parts for our upcoming Stations of the Cross with 6th grade on March 24. We will practice in class and practice in Church next week with 6th grade. We will continue to learn about the different leaders of the Church. In class we will continue to learn about how the Church is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church.
Social Studies -The Ch.6 Social Studies test has been moved to Thursday this week.
Science - In Science this week the students will be learning about the cause of day, night, the seasons, and the year. They will learn about the rotation and revolution of the Earth. They will also learn about space, the Earth's moon, and the moon's importance to us on Earth.
